Breast cancer fundraiser for nonprofit SSPW, show your support! I wish stupid cancer would go away !!
Hi cuties ♥
I posted before about my own personal cancer journey but my best friend has also battled cancer herself, a few years before my whole ordeal. Her cancer was much bigger and badder than mine but she is a survivor! She beat it and defied all the odds against her, which is true for many things in her life. Through her journey, she met lots of other strong young women who have also survived breast cancer and one of them started a nonprofit called SSPW (Shay Sharpe's Pink Wishes). She is a multiple time breast cancer survivor and a beautiful, caring young woman. She raises money to grant wishes to other young women who have terminal breast cancer. I had the honor of accompanying my best friend to an annual SSPW fundraiser and it was touching. I am thinking about possibly starting my own nonprofit organization one day. Here are some photos of my best friend and I at the event below.
I think it is very important to support small local nonprofits that truly make big impacts on people's lives.
