I am a huge nail & nail art fan, always have been and always will be. Nails have definitely stepped into the media spotlight in the past few years. Magazines like Cosmopolitan & Marie Claire almost always have articles on nail art, etc. 

One of the biggest trends in the nail game has been gel nails. It has been a game changer. Having a shiny manicure that lasts way longer than traditional polish & doesn't even chip?, what more could you ask for? 

It has been happening for well over 5 years now but I have seen it  become even more prominent in the past 2 years (every brand is making a gel polish line!). It has become a staple in how we do nails. People no longer want basic manicures, they want gel manicures. 

I have tried many different brands at the salon and now at home! Here is my current at home system that I absolutely love!

Here is my Nailuv system ♥ 

All of the products needed

products needed:

2 Watt LED lamp
nail cleaner
nail bonder
gel base/top coat
gel polish
nail file/buffer




Here are samples of gel manicures I have done (note: I'm getting better with each use)

steps for gel manicure

1. clean nails
2. file/buff nail beds gently to remove shine
3. apply bonder
4. apply base/top coat & cure
5. apply gel color & cure(repeat up to 3 times for desired shade)
6. apply base/top coat & cure 

& voila!
