I was so excited to receive this product from Influenster for testing purposes. I have been hearing great things about Kenra in the hair community and wanted to try their products out.


Influenster chose me to test out the Kenra brightening treatment which is a 'purple product' for eliminating brass tones in blonde hair. My hair is very brassy...it has been bleached and then I had purple/pink hair dye over top that has all faded out. I have tried quite a few purple shampoos/conditioners in the past and didn't have much luck with them.  


So here is the product....

It didn't work 100% but I did see some improvement. My hair definitely looks a little bit less orangey/brassy. I think it also made my hair a little bit brighter. I used one entire mini bottle for my long/thick hair, so I only have 1 treatment left. It is a once weekly treatment. So, I will try it again in a week and post another picture of the results. If it continues to work, I might just have to buy a full size bottle!

UPDATE: 

It really doesn't seem to have taken any more brass out for me with the 2nd treatment, except in my natural hair color. It seems to have toned my natural regrowth which is a light brown/dirty blonde in some light. I think I will have to bump my rating down to a 7 / 10. I might still buy the product just to see how it does with repetitive use....
